Our Lady of Mount Carmel offers excellence in Catholic education to students in kindergarten through Grade 8. The school is named after the Virgin Mary, patroness of the Carmelite Order of religious sisters. Following Mary’s lead, students learn and grow in faith together at Our Lady of the Mount Carmel.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel opened in Niagara Falls in 1964 as a junior elementary school. It was consolidated with its primary feeder school, St. Thomas More Catholic Elementary School, in 2014, and all students became Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars.
Today, nearly 825 students in kindergarten through Grade 8 attend both French Immersion and English language programming at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the Home of the Cougars. Students graduating from French Immersion move on to become Saint Paul Catholic High School Patriots, and English language students join Saint Michael Catholic High School as Mustangs.
Before and after-school childcare is available at Our Lady of Mount Carmel through the YMCA.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel is part of the Saint Michael Catholic High School the St. Thomas More parish community.
